Ginger Tea

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups Oat flour (or ground rolled oats)

  • 2 tsp Baking powder

  • 1/8 cup Coconut oil (or 1/4 cup butter)

  • 8 ripe dates (blended with 1/4 cup water) or 1/2 cup cane sugar

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 4 tea bags of black tea

  • 3 tbsp minced ginger (or as needed)

  • 1/4 tsp Salt 

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric

  • Powdered sugar (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Soak tea bags and ground ginger in hot water for 4 minutes. Take out tea bags and squeeze excess tea into cup. Filter out ginger and retain tea.

  2. Add the tea to all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix into a batter.

  3. Distribute the batter in a muffin pan. Bake in oven preheated to 350F for 27 mins. Dust with powdered sugar and serve them hot or chilled.
